So, you’ve booked a branding photography session—exciting! But now the nerves kick in. What do I wear? How do I pose? What should I bring?
Don’t worry—I’ve worked with clients across Eastbourne and beyond, and I promise you don’t need to be a model to look amazing in your brand photos.
Here are 5 easy, impactful ways to prepare for your shoot:
1. Get Clear on Your Brand Vibe
Your images should reflect your brand personality. Are you calm and nurturing? Bold and confident? Playful and creative?
Think about:
Brand colours
Values
How you want people to feel when they see your content
Your shoot should visually match your message. I’ll guide you through this in your pre-shoot questionnaire and planning call.
2. Plan Multiple Outfits
Bring 2–4 outfits that fit your brand. Think layers, colour variety, and comfort. Avoid bold prints, logos, or anything too tight or fussy.
Some ideas:
A smart-casual outfit for polished content
Something relaxed for behind-the-scenes shots
A pop of colour if your brand is playful or vibrant
Bonus tip: iron your clothes beforehand!
3. Prepare Props & Locations
Do you work with tools, books, art materials, or a laptop? Bring them!
Props give your photos context and personality—especially in lifestyle sessions around Eastbourne where we might shoot in your home, a café, or outdoors.
4. Practice Your Smile (Seriously!)
It might sound silly, but a little mirror practice can make you feel more confident. I’ll guide you with natural prompts and relaxed posing—no awkward fake smiles here!
5. Hydrate, Rest, and Trust the Process
Get a good night’s sleep, drink water, and eat before your session. I’ll take care of the rest—from lighting to direction. All you need to do is show up and be yourself.
Let’s Make It Fun
I want you to enjoy your shoot as much as you love your photos. Based in Eastbourne and shooting across Sussex, I create sessions that are relaxed, empowering, and full of personality.
